Edible Estates Signage
Outdoor signage for living exhibit for the Edible Estates project by Fritz Haeg, author of the infamous Edible Estates: Attack On The Front Lawn. It was absolutely a blast to work directly with Fritz on the simple, yet effective direction.
This triangle garden was in front of a busy community center with active positive environments for children, so it was essential that the signage be simple, direct and lead the viewer to the information. Therefore, each species of plant is an actual silhouetted illustration of the real plants. Ultimately the goal was successful: to showcase and inform the real natural history of the island of Manhattan. To learn more about each story behind the species grown in the garden visit: Garden #8.
