Personal Space Transformation
This project was to simply tell a narrative experience through graphic forms and simplifications. We had to showcase our personal space and illustrate what it means to you. I chose my car. Back then, when I drove more often, the car was my space. I would walk in, start the car and place the iPod into motion. I could be feeling down, angry or anything and driving with my music on just gets my blood pumping. The music transforms the space turning not only my attitude but also the atmosphere into a more fluid structure of bight colors and positive thoughts.
The format was large which has two purposes. First to force the viewer to physically walk around the structure. So in real time, the you can only see one panel at a time. There are three sets of panels: enter, evolve and energize. I really enjoy this piece and know for a fact it closely resembles how music can greatly affect my behavior.
The later photographs here are the larger, previous mockup before I have to reconstruct it smaller to photograph with correct lighting. There is one catch in this piece - one mistake (not technical but idea-wise) that was fixed but viewable in the mockup edition. Can you catch what it is?
